Wipro, Secret Double Octopus Partner for Passwordless Authentication

Wipro has integrated the Secret Double Octopus (SDO) Octopus Enterprise technology platform into its Cybersecurity and Risk Services (CRS), according to a prepared statement.

Passwordless Authentication Delivered

Together, Wipro and SDO provide a passwordless authentication solution that "frees users from having to recall or enter a password for work-related logins or authentication," the companies said. The solution utilizes FIDO-compliant authenticator options to confirm user identities. It also provides a universal authentication experience for accessing legacy on-premises applications, desktops, servers, web apps and remote access services.

The SDO integration supports Wipro's zero trust digital identity initiative, the companies said. It combines Wipro's strategy-first approach to identity with SDO's phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication (MFA) technology. As such, the integration provides enterprises with authentication mechanisms that they can use to reduce fraud losses.

Wipro Partners with Onapsis, Extends Global Reach

The SDO integration comes after Wipro in January 2023 announced a partnership with Onapsis, an application security company. Organizations can utilize Onapsis' business application security solutions and threat intelligence with Wipro's professional services, the companies said. This helps organizations understand and address application security issues.

Previously, Wipro released a cybersecurity consulting solution through its CRS division in November 2022. The solution allows Wipro to deliver cyber consulting capabilities under its CyberTransform cybersecurity services. It also gives organizations access to security consultants in Europe.

Wipro offers cloud and infrastructure security, digital trust and other cybersecurity services. Along with SDO and Onapsis, Wipro has partnerships in place with Check Point Software Technologies, CrowdStrike and other cybersecurity companies. Wipro looks poised to continue to explore cybersecurity partnerships as it looks to further expand its global presence as well.
