X Security Group now enables MSPs and MSSPs to white-label its penetration testing services and offer them to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), according to a prepared statement.

MSPs and MSSPs can use X Security Group's pentesting services to conduct offensive security assessment for SMBs, the company said. That way, they can identify vulnerabilities in SMBs' IT environments and provide security recommendations.

MSPs and MSSPs can leverage X Security Group's pentesting services to identify internal and external threats, the company said. The services help MSPs and MSSPs detect compromised credentials, poor access controls and other issues that can lead to data breaches.

In addition, MSPs and MSSPs can use X Security Group's pentesting services to detect mobile and web application vulnerabilities, the company noted. The services also ensure that MSPs and MSSPs can automate vulnerability assessments, evaluate security data and offer recommendations to help SMBs guard against cyberattacks.

Should MSPs, MSSPs Offer Pentesting?

Reasons why MSPs and MSSPs provide pentesting include:

  • SMB Demand: Many SMBs currently perform pentesting on their own, X Security Group indicated. Meanwhile, MSPs and MSSPs can integrate pentesting services into their portfolios to meet the needs of SMBs around the world.
  • Upsell Opportunities: MSPs and MSSPs can use pentesting services to help SMBs analyze their security posture, X Security Group said. They also can promote additional services to help these businesses optimize their security posture.
  • Cybersecurity Expertise: Pentesting services let MSPs and MSSPs highlight their cybersecurity expertise and become trusted security advisors, X Security Group pointed out.

X Security Group is working through the channel to ensure that MSPs and MSSPs can deliver its pentesting services to SMBs, according to the company. As such, MSPs and MSSPs can use X Security Group's pentesting services to help SMBs combat a wide range of threats.
