Egan joined Siemplify in mid-2019 after successful tours of duty at Docker, Red Hat and IBM. Most of his experience involves major part ecosystem initiatives.

In a statement to MSSP Alert, Siemplify thank Egan for his work at the SIEM company, and wished him well in the new post at VMware.

"We want to thank Roger Egan for his contribution and wish him nothing but the best at VMware," Dan Kaplan, director of content and communications, told MSSP Alert. "Roger has built a great team at Siemplify, and the team is continuing our market momentum as the leading independent SOAR provider. We will update on any changes to our executive hires as they become available.“

Siemplify specializes in SOAR (security orchestration, automation and response) software. The company recently unveiled a cloud-native SOAR platform designed to help MSSPs and businesses safeguard hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Siemplify raised $30 million in Series C funding in May 2019.
