Breach and Attack Simulation Funding: Picus Security Raises $24M, Seeks MSSP Partners

Picus Security, a breach and attack simulation technology company, has raised $24 million in Series B funding. The company will leverage those dollars to extend its reach across North America, EMEA (Europe, Middle Eat and Africa) and APAC (Asia Pacific) regions, Picus Security indicated.

Picus Security previously raised $5 million in Series A funding in October 2019.

Picus offers the Complete Security Control Validation Platform, which simulates ransomware and other real world cyber threats. Organizations can use this platform to assess and improve the effectiveness of their security controls.

The Complete Security Control Validation Platform includes more than 11,000 attacks and 70,000 actionable mitigations, Picus noted. It also is updated daily to reflect the latest adversarial techniques and behaviors.

Picus Security: Training and Partner Program

Picus provides its Purple Academy free online cybersecurity training program. Purple Academy users can use the program to stay up to date on new cyberattack methods and defense strategies, Picus indicated.

In addition, Picus offers a partner program for MSSPs, MSPs, systems integrators and value-added resellers. The program enables channel partners to use Picus' solutions to become cybersecurity advisors to global organizations, the company stated.
