AttackIQ, a company that specializes in continuous security validation, has added $17.6 million in a Series B financing round led by venture capital firm Khosla Ventures. The Series B financing brings AttackIQ's total funding to approximately $35 million.
AttackIQ will use the Series B funds to further develop its continuous security validation platform, the company said. It also plans to increase hiring across all functional areas and expand its field operations.
AttackIQ's platform provides continuous validation of an organization's security controls and processes, the company said. The platform uses the following process to help organizations combat cyberattacks:
- Deploy test agents. Test agents receive and execute security scenarios and allow an organization to perform live security tests during production cycles.
- Run scenarios. Scenarios mimic real world malware and attack vectors and enable an organization to test its security controls and validate its security posture.
- View results. An organization can access automated reports to evaluate a security program's status and assess security event visualizations.
AttackIQ's platform integrates into any existing network and provides visibility into an organization's security program, the company noted. In doing so, AttackIQ's platform ensures an organization can discover gaps in security coverage, identify misconfigurations and prioritize remediation efforts.
Furthermore, AttackIQ offers a partner program that enables MSSPs and other technology vendors to incorporate the company's continuous security validation platform into their portfolios. AttackIQ's partner program provides access to co-marketing support, opportunity registration and protection and various tools and resources.
