MDR Acquisition: ATSG Buys Xentaurs, Bolsters Intelligent-as-a-Service Portfolio

ATSG, an MSSP and integrated intelligent platform provider, has purchased managed detection and response (MDR) services company Xentaurs for an undisclosed sum.

This is technology M&A deal number 1,028 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2022.

ATSG, founded in 1994, is based in New York, New York. The company has 451 employees listed on LinkedIn. ATSG's areas of expertise include cybersecurity, digital workspaces and digital infrastructure.

Xentaurs, founded in 2016, is based in Miami, Florida. The company has 30 employees listed on LinkedIn. Xentaurs' areas of expertise include MDR, layered application security and zero trust protection.

What the Xenaturs Acquisition Means for ATSG

Xentaurs enhances ATSG's intelligent-as-a-service offerings, the companies said. It expands ATSG's cybersecurity consulting and hybrid cloud capabilities and bolsters the company's MDR capabilities across its micro-segmentation, software-defined networking (SDN) and firewall platforms.

In addition, Xentaurs strengthens ATSG's commercial reach in the Southeast region of the United States, the businesses said. Xentaurs provides ATSG with security experts and engineers who will help scale its security operations. It also expands and extends ATSG's relationship with Cisco Systems, as Xentaurs serves as a Cisco digital solution integrator.

ATSG Buys MSSP Vology

The Xentaurs acquisition comes after ATSG in August 2022 purchased Vology, which offers managed IT, cloud and security services. ATSG is using Vology's technologies to improve its digital transformation, cybersecurity, multi-cloud and managed network services. It also enhances global enterprise network operations, cloud migration offerings and automation platforms, the companies indicated.

ATSG will focus on the growth and enhancement of its market reach and brand in 2023, the company said. It also continues to offer a partner program and build relationships with MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers.
