SIEM software provider Rapid7 is acquiring Divvy Cloud, a provider of Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) for Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Alibaba and Kubernetes containers. The acquisition, valued at $145 million, is expected to close in the second quarter of 2020.

This is M&A deal number 195 that MSSP Alert and ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2020. See the complete M&A deal list here.

Rapid7 Acquires DivvyCloud: Software Capabilities

Using DivvyCloud, customers can protect cloud and container environments from misconfiguration, policy violations, external and internal threats, and identity and access management challenges, Rapid7 says.

For its part, Rapid7 develops a Security Operations Center (SOC) platform that supports SIEM-based incident detection and response, vulnerability management, application security and security automation and orchestration (SOAR).

This is Rapid7's second acquisition in the past year or so. The other deal involved acquiring network visibility solution provider NetFort for an undisclosed sum in April 2019.
