Simeio, an identity and access management (IAM) solutions provider, has purchased security and identity management consultant PathMaker Group (PMG) for an undisclosed sum.

This is technology M&A deal number 145 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2023.

Simeio, founded in 2007, is based in Alpharetta, Georgia. The company has 705 employees listed on LinkedIn. Simeio's areas of expertise include access governance, ID-as-a-service (IDaaS) and privileged access management.

PMG, founded in 1990, is based in Coppell, Texas. The company has 30 employees listed on LinkedIn. PMG's areas of expertise include identity management, access management and privileged access management.

Simeio Enhances Identity Orchestration Platform

PMG's "IAM MAP" assessment process and methodology will be integrated into the Simeio IO identity orchestration platform, the companies noted. As such, organizations will be able to use Simeio IO to measure and assess the maturity of their identity programs.

Meanwhile, Simeio will offer its managed identity security services to PMG's customers, the companies stated. This ensures that PMG customers can use Simeio IO to manage their identity security operations and security and risk posture.

Furthermore, PMG complements Simeio's strategy of "expanding into new industries and talent pools and adding new capabilities around identity orchestration and automation," Simeio indicated. It also strengthens Simeio's presence in the utilities, travel and logistics sectors and expands the company's North American presence.

Simeio Partners with SailPoint

The PMG acquisition comes after Simeio in December 2022 partnered with identity security specialist SailPoint. Together, Simeio and SailPoint allow the companies' joint customers to create and drive adoption across their identity governance and administration (IGA) programs, the businesses said. In addition, these customers can leverage the businesses' identity security services for threat protection, monitoring and remediation.

Simeio offers IAM solutions used to protect more than 160 million identities globally. It also provides a partner program and continues to explore technology partnerships.
