Managed Security Services Provider Morning News: 15 December 2017

5. Partner Program: BluVector, which develops network intrusion detection services, has launched an OEM partner program. MSSPs can now embed BluVector's machine learning and speculative code execution engines into their solutions.

4. Cyber Attack Darkens Industrial Plant: Hackers recently launched a so-called Triton attack that disrupted industrial safety systems and targeted Schneider Electric's Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) controllers, FireEye's Mandiant team says. Cut through all the jargon and the news is alarming: The attack was likely state-sponsored and it rocked an industrial facility, Mandiant says without specifically naming the target...

3. Remote Access: CyberX has unveiled a technology integration with CyberArk to provide secure remote access for critical industrial networks, the companies say.

2. Funding - MSSP: Proficio, a Top 100 MSSP for 2017, has raised a second round of funding led by by Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. Specific terms of the round were not disclosed, but Kayne's total funding in Proficio to date is more than $20 million. Proficio plans to use the latest funding to launch new solutions and further bolster its SOC-as-a-service and SIEM-as-a-service offerings. We'll share more details later today.
