10. Force Point IPO?: Forcepoint, Raytheon's cybersecurity unit, could thrive were it to be listed separately, the head of the unit says, but it's too early to contemplate such a move, a German newspaper reported Saturday.

6. Fortinet, Microsoft Partnership: Microsoft has joined the Fortinet Fabric-Ready Partner Program, further integrating Fortinet Security Fabric threat information, intrusion prevention, and management capabilities into Microsoft Azure Security Center (ASC) to better protect cloud workloads, the companies said.
5. Tech Support Scams: The FTC is warning U.S. consumers about tech support scams involving fraudulent phone calls and popup windows. The details and protective recommendations are here.
4. Credit Facility: Alert Logic, the Houston, Texas-based provider of Security-as-a-Service solutions for the cloud, has received a $70 million syndicated credit facility. Square 1 Bank, a division of Pacific Western Bank, provided the financing. The proceeds from the facility will be used for working capital and various internal growth initiatives, Finsmes reported.
3. Britain Cyberattack: Britain’s parliament was hit by a “sustained and determined” cyber attack over the weekend, and the UK is taking steps to lock down and mitigate the situation.
2. Global Encryption: The United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, will meet in the Canadian city of Ottawa in the days ahead, where they will discuss tactics to combat terrorism and border protection, Reuters reported.
1. Windows 10 Hack: A new attack technique, called GhostHook, allows hackers to bypass Windows 10 PatchGuard kernel protections and install rootkits onto systems previously thought to be impenetrable, International Business Times reported.
