1. Security Operations Center - MSSP: Nuspire, a Top 250 MSSP, has opened its first international SOC in Manila, Philippines. Nuspire has established SOCs in Commerce, Michigan and Denver, Colorado.
2. Partner Program - Penetration Testing as a Service: Horizon3.ai, which offers automated penetration testing-as-a-service (APTaaS), has launched the NodeZero Certified Partner program. Liberman Networks is the company's first certified partner.
3. M&A - Identity and Access Management (IAM): Ping Identity has acquired SecuredTouch, a software company that focuses on fraud and bot detection and mitigation. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
4. Funding - Passwordless Security: Transmit Security has raised $543 million in Series A funding. The round claims to be the largest Series A funding in cybersecurity history. The funding round was led by Insight Partners and General Atlantic, with additional investment from Cyberstarts, Geodesic, SYN Ventures, Vintage, and Artisanal Ventures.
5. SEC Investigates SolarWinds Orion Breach: The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has opened a probe into the SolarWinds Orion cyber breach, focusing on whether some companies failed to disclose that they had been affected by the hack, Reuters reports.
