MSSP BLOKWORX has integrated the Stellar Cyber Open XDR (eXtended detection and response) Platform into its security offerings. Accordingly, BLOKWORX is providing its customers with network detection and response (NDR) capabilities that they can use to identify threats at the network layer, the company said.

With Open XDR, BLOKWORX can look at its customers' networks and understand the depth and breadth of threats, BLOKWORX President Robert Boles said. As such, BLOKWORX can help its customers protect their networks "from cloud to edge to endpoint."

BLOKWORX Tests Stellar Cyber Integration

Prior to launching the integration, BLOKWORX worked with the development team at Stellar Cyber to make sure that the integration worked as expected.

"We will not bring anything into our stack that doesn't pass our comprehensive vetting process." Boles said. And, Open XDR "checked every box in the vetting process." Now, BLOKWORX is using Open XDR to help its customers secure their networks more efficiently than ever before.

Stellar Cyber Open XDR Blends Security and Automation

MSSPs can use Open XDR to "deliver unique services without adding staff to their security operations teams," Stellar Cyber indicated.

Open XDR combines various security technologies, including:

  • Next-generation security information and event management (NG-SIEM)
  • NDR
  • User entity and behavior analytics (UEB)
  • Security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR)
  • Threat intelligence platform (TIP)

Furthermore, Open XDR leverages artificial intelligence and an "open" integration architecture, Stellar Cyber said. It also correlates alerts, logs and telemetry data and provides security analysts with a holistic view of threats.

MSSPs Integrate Open XDR into Their Portfolios

To date, MSSPs have utilized Open XDR to deliver a wide range of security services, including:

  • Security operations center-as-a-service (SOCaaS)
  • Managed detection and response-as-a-service (MDRaaS)
  • Endpoint detection and response (EDR)

Along with BLOKWORX, SecuriCentrix and other MSSPs have incorporated Open XDR into their portfolios. Stellar Cyber offers an MSSP partner program and continues to explore security and technology partnerships as well.
