Google Cloud has unveiled intelligent data fusion for its Chronicle security analytics platform at RSA Conference 2020 in San Francisco, California. Intelligent data fusion combines a new data model and the ability to automatically link multiple events into a single timeline, according to Google.Also, Google Cloud has integrated YARA-L, a new rules language built for modern cyber threats and behaviors, into Chronicle. YARA-L provides advanced threat detection and scalable, real-time and retroactive rule execution, Google noted.Google is attracting key technology partners to its security effort. For instance, Palo Alto Networks has integrated Chronicle intelligent data fusion and event timelines into its Cortex XSOAR security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) platform. The company is using Chronicle to enhance Cortex XSOAR's threat response capabilities, Google indicated.Chronicle, an Alphabet startup, was absorbed by Google in June 2019. The company previously launched its Backstory security analytics platform at RSA Conference 2019.
