Imperva: Backed By Private Equity
The deal comes roughly roughly eight months after private equity giant Thoma Bravo acquired Imperva in a $2.1 billion deal. Imperva develops the Incapsula, SecureSphere, and CounterBreach product lines — which protect websites, applications, APIs, and databases from cyberattacks while ensuring compliance.
Imperva has also been active on the M&A front. The company acquired DevOps application security specialist Prevoty for $140 million in June 2018. At the same time, Imperva has been doubling down on its partner initiatives — including traditional channel partners plus MSPs, MSSPs, cloud partners, hosting firms and strategic alliance members, the company told Wall Street analysts.
Thoma Bravo has been very active in the cybersecurity sector.
