ThriveDX has created the Cyber Academy to help organizations educate their employees about a wide range of cybersecurity topics, according to the company.

Also, the Cyber Academy has placed cybersecurity analysts at managed detection and response (MDR) provider CyberProof, ThriveDX said.

What the ThriveDX Cyber Academy Offers

The Cyber Academy offers participants access to more than 1,000 hours of cybersecurity training, ThriveDX noted. It provides courses designed by cybersecurity industry experts that focus on a variety of subjects, including:

  • Ethical hacking
  • Forensics
  • Incident handling
  • Malware analysis
  • Network administration

In addition, the Cyber Academy's training programs are continuously updated with new content on a weekly basis, ThriveDX indicated. It also provides application security and secure-code training for developers and engineers, security awareness and phishing simulators for workers of all skill and experience levels and specialized executive training.

CyberProof Uses ThriveDX's Cyber Academy to Fill Open Cybersecurity Positions

The Cyber Academy provides CyberProof with the ability to add "highly motivated, qualified and diverse candidates," the company noted. At the same time, the academy ensures that CyberProof can hire candidates who possess real world cybersecurity experience.

To date, CyberProof has added 12 Cyber Academy graduates to its team as security operations center (SOC) Tier 1 analysts, the company stated.

Moran Alterzon Avisar, Israel human resources business partner manager at CyberProof, commented on the Cyber Academy and its impact on CyberProof's talent acquisition strategy:

"Partnering with ThriveDX has brought additional diversity into our talent acquisition strategy. The Cyber Academy graduates have seamlessly integrated into our organization, bringing with them a strong foundation in cybersecurity."

ThriveDX Announces Certificate Program for Security Awareness Administrators

The Cyber Academy news comes after ThriveDX in May 2023 launched its Awareness Administration Certificate Program, which focuses on teaching participants about the essential components of an enterprise cybersecurity awareness program, the company said.

ThriveDX's Awareness Administration Certificate Program is aligned to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines and covers employee cybersecurity education, testing and engagement topics based on the National Institute for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) framework. These topics include:

  • Aligning security awareness training with an organization's specific needs
  • Customizing employee training materials
  • Defining security metrics
  • Reporting success indicators

The Awareness Administration Certificate Program consists of interactive online training, ThriveDX said. Each unit is covered in a 5- to 15-minute training, followed by practice content and quizzes.

In addition, the program provides participants with access to a model of ThriveDX's Security Awareness Training platform. This allows each participant to create their own content and establish a timeline to implement training inside their organization.

ThriveDX specializes in cybersecurity training and workforce development. The company offers a partner program for MSPs, VARs, VADs and systems integrators. Along with CyberProof, ThriveDX has partnered with PwC, Exclusive Networks and other technology providers.
