Unisys, a Top 100 MSSP for 2017, has introduced Advanced Endpoint Protection, a managed security solution designed to safeguard organizations against rapidly evolving cyber threats.
Advanced Endpoint Protection combines Unisys consulting and managed security services and Cylance advanced threat prevention technology, according to a prepared statement. It enables organizations to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to prevent cyberattacks on endpoints.
Prior to Advanced Endpoint Protection implementation, Unisys security consultants conduct an initial assessment to understand if there are any undetected endpoint protection issues in an organization's network, the company said. Next, these consultants create a deployment plan based on their findings.
Following deployment, the Unisys managed services team begins 24x7 monitoring of an organization's IT environment, according to the company. This team identifies potential issues as they occur and investigates them accordingly.
What Does Advanced Endpoint Protection Offer?
Key features of Advanced Endpoint Protection include:
- 24x7 endpoint monitoring and investigation.
- Access to the CylancePROTECT integrated threat prevention solution.
- Endpoint compromise assessment.
Advanced Endpoint Protection also leverages Unisys Stealth micro-segmentation software, the company pointed out. The software gives organizations the ability to hide assets and create virtual secure perimeters around these assets.
Furthermore, Cylance advanced threat prevention technology proactively prevents advanced persistent threats and malware on endpoints, Unisys noted. The technology ensures organizations can use Advanced Endpoint Protection to secure all points of exposure and identify and respond to cyberattacks faster than ever before.
How Can MSSPs Capitalize on Cylance AI and Machine Learning Tools?
Cylance is helping Unisys and other MSSPs (large and small) incorporate AI and machine learning into their security offerings.
ConnectWise last month partnered with Cylance to provide AI-based cybersecurity prevention to more than 21,000 global managed service providers (MSPs), though it's unclear how many of those ConnectWise partners will embrace the offering.
The potential path forward: MSPs and technology solutions providers can leverage and integrate Cylance across ConnectWise Automate (for remote monitoring and management) and Manage (for professional services automation).
In addition, Cylance in October launched the CylancePROTECT multi-tenant console. The dashboard provides MSSPs with administrative and role-based access control for customer security management and monitoring.
Cylance posted 177 percent year-over-year revenue growth and exceeded $100 million in trailing 12-month revenue in 2017, based on generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), the company said. Today, 87 Fortune 500 companies use the Cylance platform, and the company boasts nearly 3,800 enterprise customers globally.
