30. Deloitte
New York, New York, USA

Deloitte continues to grow its MSSP and cybersecurity practice both organically and through acquisitions. The company in March 2019 acquired Converging Data, an Australia cybersecurity firm that partners closely with AttackIQ, Carbon Black and Splunk Phantom. And earlier deal involved buying IPS, an MSSP in Canada.

Carlsbad, California, USA

Proficio, which raised money in 2017, offers MDR services. The company expanded into Australia in 2018 then added risk scoring to its customer management dashboard.


28. Netsurion
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA

Netsurion is a Master MSSP that supports MSPs. Among the company’s big differentiators: Netsurion offers endpoint detection and response (EDR) plus SIEM — and controls the intellectual property across those services.



27. Nuspire (acquired Gbprotect)
Commerce, Michigan, USA

NuSpire acquired Denver’s Gbprotect, a peer MSSPs, in April 2019. Nuspire expanded into MDR services ahead of the deal. Gbprotect started as a security event management (SEM) company in 2002 then evolved toward SOC and MSSP services.

Deepwatch, an MSSP spin-out from GuidePoint Security, in April 2019 raised $23 million in Series A funding led by ABS Capital Partners.

Fishtech Group launched CYDERES (Cyber Defense & Response) in early 2018. The company provides a security-as-a-service (SECaaS) solution that helps organizations manage risks, detect threats and respond to security incidents in real-time. CYDERES is one of the first partners to leverage Google Chronicle’s Backstory platform for SIEM-type services.

Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

eSentire has growing its European bookings more than 90 percent since 2017, though the company didn’t disclosed actual revenue figures associated with that growth. Recent services and partnership launches include Risk Advisory and Managed Prevention Services; Carbon Black for endpoint security; and LIFARs for incident response as a service.

Kudelski Security, a division of Kudelski Group, launched managed security services for operational technology (OT) & industrial control systems (ICS) in May 2018. The company integrated cloud-based traffic and data inspection into its managed security services.

Kroll also ranks among the world’s top MDR providers, and works closely with such endpoint security companies as Carbon Black.
