Ahead has partnered with RapidScale to provide VMware Cloud Service Provider (VCSP) offerings to over 100 of its enterprise customers. This collaboration aims to ensure continuity and a clear VMware roadmap for these clients following changes to Broadcom's VCSP program, based on information published by CRN.
The partnership between Ahead and RapidScale addresses the significant changes within Broadcom's VMware Cloud Service Provider program, which has reduced the number of eligible partners. Ahead, a major channel player, has transitioned approximately 120 of its mid- to upper-enterprise customers to RapidScale's managed cloud platform. This move leverages RapidScale's operational expertise and scalable infrastructure alongside Ahead's transformation capabilities. RapidScale, an Elite VCSP Partner and recognized for its VMware services, will now serve as Ahead's sole VMware private cloud managed services partner.
The collaboration includes a joint go-to-market strategy, with both companies referring business to each other. Ahead will continue to operate as a VMware reseller, while RapidScale handles the VCSP aspects, ensuring customers have access to updated VMware Cloud Foundation versions and optimized services without disruption. This strategic alliance aims to provide a stable and flexible VMware environment for Ahead's existing customer base.
