Apate.ai partners with Mobileum to combat scams globally

Apate.ai, a scam intelligence and disruption platform, has announced a global partnership with telecommunications analytics vendor Mobileum. This collaboration aims to offer Apate.ai's scam detection and disruption solution to a wider audience, enhancing the fight against increasingly sophisticated scams.

The partnership follows Apate.ai's recent achievement of securing US$8.15 million in seed funding. This strategic alliance is set to bolster defenses for communication service providers and their customers worldwide, with further coverage provided by Arn Net.

The partnership integrates Apate.ai's AI-powered agents, which engage directly with scammers across voice, messaging, and email channels to gather operational intelligence. This intelligence, including details on mule accounts, crypto wallets, and impersonated brands, is then fed into carrier fraud workflows for detection and disruption. Mobileum will deliver this capability as Scam Intelligent Defense to its clients. This move comes as AI is increasingly used by malicious actors to accelerate and diversify scam operations.

Traditionally, telecommunications companies have been reactive to threats, but this partnership aims to provide proactive insights. Apate.ai's recent seed funding will support platform development and international expansion, including a new office in London. The company's approach focuses on gathering real-time intelligence from within scam operations to protect consumers.
