Cisco enhances Splunk partnerships with AWS and Nvidia for AI and security

Cisco has announced significant expansions to its existing partnerships with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Nvidia, focusing on enhancing Splunk's capabilities in artificial intelligence and security operations, in a report by SDx Central.

At the Splunk Conf. event, Splunk revealed its move onto on-premises Nvidia accelerated computing with the launch of Cisco AI Pod for Splunk. This AI infrastructure stack is pre-tested and pre-validated for Splunk AI workloads, allowing customers to run Splunk AI Assistant on-premises. Options for self-hosted models include Cisco Deep Time Series Model, Google Gemma 4, and OpenAI GPT-OSS 20B, with Nvidia Nemotron open models coming soon.

Splunk Enterprise customers can choose between the Cisco AI Pod or their own infrastructure, with Splunk providing a Kubernetes-native runtime and reference architecture. This enables governed AI for sensitive machine data without compromising deployment control or data sovereignty. On the AWS front, Splunk's Agentic security operations center (SOC) is now integrated with AWS to combat AI-driven threats. This integration signifies a shift from manual workflows to an agentic operating model for faster security outcomes.

The expanded Agentic SOC Workforce covers detection, security engineering, threat hunting, investigation, response, and governance, including over 1,300 security integrations. This collaboration aims to provide a unified, intelligent architecture for evolving security challenges.
