This new integration aims to bridge the gap between enterprise collaboration tools like Webex and popular consumer messaging apps such as WhatsApp. The partnership enables secure, compliant, and regulated external messaging without users needing to leave the Webex environment. Shadow communication, which occurs outside of official enterprise security protocols, poses risks for businesses.
LeapXpert's platform acts as a secure intermediary, facilitating these conversations in a governed manner. The collaboration is also expected to create significant opportunities for Cisco's channel partners, including upselling, data ownership, and AI capabilities, particularly for partners serving highly regulated industries like finance. LeapXpert's technology is now available on the Webex App Hub, with future plans to support additional messaging channels.
