Flare Gains Momentum With Managed Security Providers

Flare reported a sharp rise in managed security service provider (MSSP) adoption as external threat intelligence becomes embedded in everyday security operations, Security Brief United States reports.

The company said MSSP usage of its platform grew 114% year-over-year, driven by customer demand for broader visibility into threats beyond internal networks without adding analyst workload.

Flare attributed the increase to service providers consolidating multiple intelligence tools into a single platform to reduce operational overhead and improve scalability. MSSPs increasingly require coverage of dark web markets, cybercrime forums, messaging platforms, and open sources to deliver faster and more outcome-focused services.

Andrew Bartlam, Flare's VP for global channels and EMEA sales, said the growth reflects how threat intelligence is now integral to monitoring, investigations, and customer-facing security outcomes. The trend coincides with broader tooling shifts, as MSSPs move away from intelligence platforms that are difficult to operationalize at scale and toward products aligned with repeatable service delivery.

Flare said its platform supports both recurring managed services and project-based engagements, helping providers standardize workflows while protecting margins.
