Gigamon Adds AI Visibility and Copilot Assistant for Hybrid Cloud Security and Support MSSPs

Gigamon has launched two new AI-powered capabilities aimed at helping organizations better manage security and operations across hybrid cloud environments. The releases mark the first phase of the company’s multi-year AI roadmap and are designed to address the growing volume and complexity of network traffic driven by generative AI workloads.

The first new offering, Gigamon AI Traffic Intelligence, provides visibility into traffic from 17 major generative AI engines, including ChatGPT and Gemini. It allows teams to monitor and govern usage in real time, even for encrypted traffic, without deploying additional agents. With policy enforcement features and support for adding more engines as needed, the service is meant to help organizations uncover shadow AI use and tighten governance.

Gigamon also introduced GigaVUE-FM Copilot, a generative AI assistant embedded directly into its fabric manager platform. Copilot helps teams onboard, configure, and troubleshoot their Gigamon deployments through a natural language interface. It draws from internal documentation and technical resources to deliver relevant, contextual support, aiming to speed up response times and reduce reliance on support teams.

With AI driving up network traffic volumes and increasing the attack surface, these tools are designed to help MSSPs scale their services efficiently. AI Traffic Intelligence is available now to GigaVUE Cloud Suite users, while Copilot is currently in early access, with general availability expected later this year.
