N-able has integrated AI-assisted vulnerability and patching capabilities into its N-central and N-sight endpoint security platforms to streamline security operations, according to Channeldive.
The new tools automate security processes for more than 900 applications across Windows, iOS, and Linux. By utilizing the N-zo AI assistant, the platform provides prioritization guidance and effectiveness checks to help managed services providers and resource-constrained businesses manage vulnerabilities. This update follows a July 31 security breach where a threat actor exploited a previously unknown vulnerability in the N-central platform.
While the company addressed that incident with rapid patching, the new AI features aim to reduce the cognitive load on technicians by automating repetitive tasks and providing AI-generated reports on patch failures. N-able, which held the fourth largest share of the cybersecurity platform market last year, intends to use these tools to help managed services providers increase efficiency.
By leveraging AI, the company hopes to enable technicians to manage a higher ratio of endpoints, thereby driving profitability in a competitive sector that saw over $20 billion in revenue in 2025, a 16.4% increase over the prior year.
