Palo Alto Networks reports strong Q4 earnings, buys AI security firm

Palo Alto Networks announced robust fourth-quarter fiscal year 2026 results, reporting $3.41 billion in revenue and a 34% year-over-year increase, alongside the acquisition of Console, an AI-native IT service management platform, according to a recent report by SDx Central.

The cybersecurity giant's revenue growth was bolstered by its Network Security segment, which generated $2.3 billion in Q4 FY26, including a significant $126 million deal with an unnamed telecom leader for platformization services like SASE and NGFW. CEO Nikesh Arora attributed the success to increased adoption of platformization and a growing customer base including sovereign-first states, neoclouds, and frontier AI labs. The company's fifth acquisition of the year, Console, aims to enhance its Cortex platform by agentifying its capabilities and accelerating its entry into the AI era.

Palo Alto Networks also highlighted its transformation into a data-first company, leveraging data lakes from XDR and SIEM solutions to improve AI-driven security offerings. The company is also focusing on the operational technology (OT) market, developing rapid signature deployment for OT vulnerabilities, aiming to reduce patching times from 55 days to under four hours.
