Rubrik has expanded its Project Hourglass AI security alliance by introducing Rubrik Code Guardian, a new offering powered by Anthropic’s Claude. This expansion broadens the program's scope beyond monitoring autonomous AI agents to include the identification of vulnerabilities in enterprise software prior to production, as reported by Channel Insider.
The enhanced alliance, announced on October 9, now includes three new solution providers: AHEAD, Trace3, and World Wide Technology, joining existing partners like Cognizant, Deloitte, and Wipro. Rubrik Code Guardian leverages Claude Mythos 5 to analyze code repositories, aiming to detect multi-step attack chains and assess exploitability. This move addresses the growing challenge organizations face as they deploy AI agents and generate code, with 86% of leaders anticipating AI agents will outpace their security measures within a year.
The new offering allows partners to help customers identify and prioritize vulnerabilities based on business impact, shifting security focus from detecting external intruders to monitoring trusted agents for unintended actions. Rubrik emphasizes the need for real-time behavioral monitoring and instant recovery capabilities as AI agents gain more autonomy, moving beyond theoretical vulnerabilities to practical risk assessment and remediation.
