Noname Security has enhanced its API protection platform to "help organizations protect their API ecosystem, secure their applications and increase cyber resilience," according to a prepared statement.

3 Enhancements Detailed

The API platform enhancements extend across the following areas:

1. API Discovery and Posture Management

Organizations can use Noname's Discovery and Posture Management solutions to locate APIs, identify vulnerabilities and protect their data against cyberattacks, the company said. They can group APIs by application, business unit and other criteria and use visualizations to understand API interactions and behaviors. Organizations also can find unprotected APIs and resolve potential security issues.

2. Runtime Protection

Noname's Runtime Protection solution detects and blocks API attacks, the company indicated. It offers real-time traffic analysis, out-of-band monitoring, inline remediation options and workflow integrations. In addition, Runtime Protection can be used in conjunction with IT service management (ITSM), security information and event management (SIEM) and other security operations center (SOC) tools and systems.

3. Active Testing

Noname's Active Testing solution helps organizations integrate security into the continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, the company stated. It helps organizations find and test their APIs and maximize their performance. Also, Active Testing provides visibility into APIs across different states and environments along the software development lifecycle.

API Platform Benefits for Noname Security Customers

The API platform enhancements provide organizations with "the most flexible and comprehensive set of deployment and integration options available," Noname said.

Organizations can use the platform in conjunction with Akamai, Cloudflare and other connectors. In doing so, they can view their entire attack surface and guard against cyber threats.

Furthermore, the API platform enhancements help organizations improve their security posture and shift "from reactive to proactive," Noname CEO Oz Golan said.

They also allow organizations to shift their position in the market "from follower to leader," Golan added.

Organizations can utilize Noname's platform to identify API security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations and design flaws. Meanwhile, Noname offers a partner program that allows MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers to incorporate its platform's capabilities into their offerings.
