Comodo Offers Free One-Time Use of Website Malware Removal Service

Comodo, a company that offers antivirus, endpoint protection, internet security and other cybersecurity software, is now providing one-time free use of a malware removal and cleanup service powered by its cWatch Web website security platform.

The Comodo malware removal and cleanup service is paired with security operations centers (SOCs) globally to help businesses combat website malware, the company said.

With the service, SOC analysts will remove all malware on a company's site, perform hack repair and keep the customer updated throughout the process, according to Comodo.

The service also enables businesses to address any of the following website problems:

  • Hosting provider shuts down site due to malware.
  • Malware alert received on Google Webmaster Tools.
  • Malware infection.
  • Site is blacklisted.
  • Site is slower than usual.
  • Site not loading.
  • Site sends emails on its own.
  • Strange files and/or folders appear.
  • Strange site redirects take place.
  • Warning about site appears on Google.

The one-time free website malware removal and cleanup service is now available. Furthermore, businesses can subscribe to cWatch Web to keep their sites clean after the one-time service use for $9 per month, Comodo indicated.

cWatch Web is a managed security service that runs in a security-as-a-service (SECaaS) model. It delivers website and web app protection to small, medium and large businesses, Comodo said, and helps companies identify and address malware infections before they happen.
