CrowdStrike has released Charlotte AI, a generative AI cybersecurity analyst that "democratizes security and helps every user of the CrowdStrike Falcon platform — from novice to security expert — become a power user," according to the company.

Organizations can use generative AI algorithms to create new audio, code, text and other forms of new content, global management consultant McKinsey indicated. These tools enable an organization's employees to quickly and easily create unique content regarding security and other topics.

Commenting on Charlotte AI and what it means for Falcon users, CrowdStrike President Mike Sentonas said:

"CrowdStrike has pioneered the use of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity to identify adversary behavior and combat sophisticated attacks to stop breaches. With the introduction of Charlotte AI, we're delivering the next innovation that will help users of all skill levels improve their ability to stop breaches while reducing security operations complexity."

What Charlotte AI Offers

Charlotte AI lets users ask natural language questions and receive answers from Falcon, CrowdStrike noted. It leverages a continuous, human feedback loop from across the following CrowdStrike solutions:

  • Falcon OverWatch managed threat hunting
  • Falcon Complete managed detection and response (MDR)
  • CrowdStrike Services to help organizations prepare for and defend against threats and improve their cybersecurity practices and controls
  • CrowdStrike Intelligence threat intelligence

Charlotte AI utilizes security data from trillions of security events captured in the CrowdStrike Threat Graph and asset telemetry from across users, devices, identities, cloud workloads and CrowdStrike's threat intelligence, the company noted. Charlotte AI empowers IT and security professionals to make fast, informed decisions, close the cybersecurity skills gap and speed up their incident response.

Charlotte AI is now available in private customer preview.

CrowdStrike Introduces MXDR Service

The Charlotte AI news comes after CrowdStrike in April launched Falcon Complete XDR, a managed eXtended detection and response (MXDR) service that provides organizations with threat hunting, monitoring and remediation across their attack surfaces, according to the company.

Falcon Complete XDR blends human expertise with AI-based automation and threat intelligence across security and IT categories, CrowdStrike stated. It provides organizations with visibility across their IT environments and multi-domain and multi-vendor incident response capabilities. As a result, Falcon Complete XDR helps organizations eliminate blind spots across their attack surfaces.

Organizations can use CrowdStrike's security solutions to protect their endpoints, cloud workloads, identities and data against cyberattacks. CrowdStrike also offers the Elevate Partner Program, which MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers can join to integrate the company's solutions into their portfolios.
