BlackBerry Integrates Crisis Communications Service with ServiceNow ITSM
BlackBerry has integrated its AtHoc crisis communications service into the ServiceNow Now Platform workflow stack, according to a prepared statement. The news comes after the BlackBerry Security Summit, which was held virtually earlier this week.
With the integration, IT operations teams can use AtHoc and the Now Platform to leverage multiple communications channels to manage incident response, BlackBerry said. The integration enables IT operations teams to notify and assemble a crisis team to troubleshoot and resolve issues via the Now Platform’s ServiceNow interface.
In addition, IT operations teams can leverage the integration to monitor audit logs, BlackBerry stated. They also can utilize the integration to conduct post-mortem reviews of their incident response efforts.

Along with unveiling the AtHoc-Now Platform integration, BlackBerry made several announcements at the BlackBerry Security Summit.
- BlackBerry introduced three cybersecurity offerings at the event: BlackBerry Cyber Suite for unified endpoint security (UES), BlackBerry Protect Mobile for mobile threat protection and BlackBerry Persona Desktop for user entity and behavior analytics (UEBA). These offerings enable organizations to protect against mobile, desktop and server attacks, verify end-user identities and prevent data breaches.
- Furthermore, BlackBerry combined its Enterprise and Cylance Partner Programs into a new global partner program. BlackBerry’s reseller and distribution partners can use the new partner program to access the company’s entire solution portfolio.
- BlackBerry is ramping up for a channel partner push, CEO John Chen said last month. Chen attributed channel partner momentum and several product groups for BlackBerry’s financial performance in the second quarter of fiscal year 2021 and indicated his company will continue to explore ways to foster new channel partnerships.
