ExtraHop has integrated its Reveal(x) 360 cloud-native network detection and response (NDR) platform into the CrowdStrike Falcon LogScale observability and log management solution, according to a prepared statement.

In doing so, ExtraHop and CrowdStrike are helping their joint customers hunt for threats and manage their resources for incident response.

Containing Ransomware and More

The ExtraHop-CrowdStrike integration combines network intelligence and security telemetry into a single solution, the companies indicated. It enables ExtraHop and CrowdStrike customers to automatically contain lateral movement, ransomware, data exfiltration and other network-based attacks.

In addition, the ExtraHop-CrowdStrike integration allows the companies' joint customers to evaluate the severity of threats and prioritize response and remediation actions, the businesses noted. As such, the integration frees up customers' time so they can focus on complex and mission-critical work.

ExtraHop and CrowdStrike will showcase the integration at RSA Conference 2023, which takes place April 24-27 in San Francisco, California.

ExtraHop Partners with Binary Defense, Hires President

The CrowdStrike integration comes after ExtraHop and Binary Defense in February 2023 announced a managed network detection and response (NDR) service.

Reveal(x) unifies security across on-premises and cloud environments for ExtraHop and Binary customers, the companies said. The solution utilizes ExtraHop sensors deployed in data centers, clouds and remote sites to decrypt and analyze network traffic. It also utilizes artificial intelligence for behavioral analysis and real-time threat detection and investigation.

Previously, ExtraHop in November 2022 hired Chris Scanlan as its president and chief commercial officer.

Scanlan has more than 25 years of experience in the technology and cybersecurity sectors. As ExtraHop's president and CCO, he manages ExtraHop's global sales and revenue strategy, initiatives, operations and customer journey, the company stated. Furthermore, Scanlan is focused on scaling and driving growth as the company looks to increase its global NDR market share.

ExtraHop provides AI-based NDR to help organizations identify and investigate cyber threats. The company offers the Panorama program that allows MSSPs, MSPs and other channel partners to integrate its NDR platform into their portfolios.
