Malwarebytes Grows MSP Program Through Expansion of OneView Platform
Malwarebytes is granting MSP partners access to its vulnerability assessment, patch management and domain name system (DNS) filtering via its OneView platform, the cybersecurity provider announced September 28.
Many MSPs face constrained staff resources, skyrocketing costs and complexities of managing multiple solutions to uncover hidden threats, Malwarebytes asserts. Therefore, today’s MSPs require streamlined and simplified solutions to help them keep pace.

Empowering MSPS to Battle Malware and Ransomware
Malwarebytes explained that the OneView platform “empowers MSPs to deliver enterprise-class endpoint security products that drastically reduce customer malware infections and ransomware exposure.” In addition, the platform allows security analysts of all skill levels to be effective from a centralized cloud-based console.
With different levels of protection capabilities and threat prevention modules, MSPs can offer the right product or service to each customer, tailored to their specific needs, the company said.
Malwarebytes offers an MSP Program that lets MSPs and other channel partners integrate its Nebula security operations platform into their portfolios. Channel partners can use Nebula in conjunction with the OneView multi-tenant dashboard to deliver endpoint security services.
Malwarebytes notes that is continues to build upon OneView by adding three new modules that simplify breach prevention within the same cloud interface that MSPs already trust for detection and remediation.
New modules include:
- Vulnerability and Patch Management enables MSPs to take control of their full patching process, helping ensure defenses are up to date across their clients’ environments.
- DNS Filtering empowers organizations to regulate access to websites and other content on company-managed networks, reinforcing the security of company data.
- Vulnerability Assessment helps users understand exposure, identify vulnerabilities and prioritize actions to update defenses across device and server operating systems and a wide range of third-party applications.
A Closer Look at Malwarebytes’ MSP Program Growth
Malwarebytes’ states that its initial MSP Program and OneView showed significant traction, with more than 2,700 new global MSP partners and strategic partnerships with Addigy, Atera, ConnectWise, Datto, GCN Group, Kaseya, Sherweb, TeamViewer and regional partner Soft Solutions.
MSSP Alert reported on September 21 that Malwarebytes received $100 million in a strategic investment from private equity firm Vector Capital. Vector’s investment comes after Malwarebytes in August 2022 reportedly laid off about 125 employees, or 14% of the cybersecurity company’s global workforce.
Malwarebytes made these staff changes as part of its efforts for “recalibrating” its enterprise sales team, aligning its costs and focusing on the MSP and SMB markets, CEO Marcin Kleczynski told TechCrunch.
Meanwhile, Malwarebytes reported 37% year-over-year MSP partner growth in the 2022 fiscal year. Malwarebytes plans to add new modules and services for MSPs and other channel partners through the end of 2022. It also is poised to “catalyze even stronger channel and MSP expansion in the 2023 fiscal year.”
