Netskope Unveils Peer-to-Peer Threat Intelligence Sharing Solution

Credit: Netskope

Netskope has launched the Cloud Threat Exchange (CTE) peer-to-peer threat intelligence sharing solution. CTE is available free of charge to Netskope customers, partners and vendors, and it enables them to share threat intelligence and leverage it across multiple enforcement points, according to a prepared statement.

CTE allows security teams to integrate threat intelligence feeds that contain malicious URLs and file hashes into their security infrastructure products, Netskope indicated. It also can be used in combination with managed detection and response (MDR), security information and event management (SIEM) and other API-based security tools.

What Does CTE Offer?

CTE promotes near-real-time threat ingestion, curation and sharing, Netskope said. It is supported by several cybersecurity companies, including:

In addition, Netskope customers and technology partners can use CTE to bi-directionally exchange indicators of compromise (IOCs), the company noted. They also can use the solution to increase their data and threat protection coverage and automate incident response.

CompTIA Announces Threat Intelligence Organization for MSPs

The CTE news comes after CompTIA last month created the Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (ISAO) for MSPs, solution providers and other channel partners.

CompTIA's ISAO provides threat intelligence to channel partners.

Along with CTE and ISAO, the COVID-19 CTI League cyber threat intelligence group was launched earlier this year. More than 400 cybersecurity experts formed the group, which is helping organizations combat cyberattacks during the coronavirus pandemic.
