Qualys Ransomware Risk Assessment Tool: Free for Limited Time

Qualys is making a Ransomware Risk Assessment Service available at no cost for 60 days, the cloud-based security and compliance software maker has disclosed.

The service is part of a broader Qualys VMDR (vulnerability management, detection and response) platform. The free trial risk assessment service allows MSSPs and end-customers to identify, prioritize, track and remediate assets that are vulnerable to ransomware attacks. From there, Qualys maps vulnerabilities to available patches that can be directly deployed from the service.

The Ransomware Risk Assessment Service surfaces less than one month after Qualys launched a zero-touch patch management capability to mitigate software vulnerabilities.

Qualys Business Evolution: Acquisitions, Hires Amid Continued MSSP Focus

Qualys has also been busy on the M&A front. The company in August 2021 purchased TotalCloud, a cloud workflow management and no-code automation platform provider. Qualys partners and customers can use TotalCloud’s platform to automate various cloud management activities and security activities that involve multiple cloud services.

On the partner and alliance front, Qualys in early 2021 ramped up its executive team with strategic alliance, SMB development and marketing experts.

The overall Qualys business, under CEO, continues to work with many of the world's largest MSSPs. Also, Qualys Consulting Edition is a multi-tenant dashboard designed for MSPs and IT consultants.
