DynTek Professional Technology Services Launches New York SOC

DynTek, a professional technology services provider, has launched a security operations center (SOC) in Albany, New York. The SOC enables DynTek to provide its customers with cybersecurity threat protection, monitoring, management and alerting offerings.

In addition, DynTek intends to provide phishing campaign and end user security training offerings via its SOC. It also plans to offer a managed security solution that incorporates email, endpoint, network, data and cloud security with infrastructure management, incident response and training capabilities.

The New York SOC could help DynTek accelerate its cybersecurity services market reach following a profitable second fiscal quarter of 2019.

Some of DynTek's notable 2QFY19 financial results included:

  • Total revenues of $47.6 million, up 25.7 percent year over year.
  • Gross profit of $7.3 million, which represented a 12 percent year-over-year increase.
  • Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of $1.7 million, an increase of 67.3 percent year over year.

DynTek provides end-to-end IT security services across a variety of areas, including:

  • Application security.
  • Database security.
  • Managed security services.
  • Network security.
  • Risk management.

DynTek also looks poised to bolster its cybersecurity services portfolio – something that could help the company capitalize on the rising demand for information security products and services.

The global information security products and services market is projected to be worth $124 billion this year, according to technology research firm Gartner. With its New York SOC in place, DynTek may be better equipped than ever before to provide organizations with a broad array of cybersecurity services and further drive revenue growth.
