Swimlane Launches OT Security Automation Ecosystem

Credit: SwimLane

Swimlane, a security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) platform provider, has created a security automation solution ecosystem to meet the combined OT and IT security requirements of critical infrastructure environments, according to the company.

The ecosystem allows cybersecurity companies to integrate their OT security capabilities into Swimlane's security automation platform, Swimlane co-founder Cody Cornell said. In doing so, Swimlane can provide security operations teams with systems of record and control. It also allows security operations teams to use these systems to process large amounts of security telemetry without needing additional resources to defend against cyberattacks.

What Swimlane's OT Security Automation Ecosystem Offers

The OT security automation ecosystem features Swimlane integrations with technologies from the following cybersecurity companies:

  • Nozomi Networks combines low-code security automation with OT and Internet of Things (IoT) security to help organizations maintain compliance and guard against cyberattacks across their industrial and critical infrastructure operations.
  • Dataminr delivers a cyber-physical threat response solution that automates processes to mitigate risks and warn at-risk employees about natural disasters, accidents and other physical risks.
  • 1898 & Co. offers managed detection and response (MDR) for OT and IT threats and threat validation, scoring and remediation.

In addition, Swimlane will work with these cybersecurity companies to develop a portfolio of pre-integrated solutions that organizations can deploy as managed services or add to their existing critical infrastructure environments, the company indicated.

Swimlane Hires VP of META Region, Adds Funding

Along with launching its OT security automation ecosystem, Swimlane in September 2022 appointed cybersecurity industry veteran Ashraf Sheet as its VP of the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region. Sheet is expected to drive Swimlane's go-to-market and channel growth plans in the region, the company said.

Previously, Swimlane in July 2022 added $70 million in a growth funding round led by venture capital and growth equity firm Activate Capital. Swimlane is using the growth funding to expand globally and bolster its technical partner support and enablement capabilities and security automation platform, the company noted.

Swimlane specializes in low-code security automation. The company offers a channel partner program for MSSPs and MSPs. Swimlane's channel partners include Optiv, Cyderes (formerly Fishtech Group) and iSOC24.
