Cunningham has held executive leadership roles at MSSPs Herjavec Group and Optiv. He has more than 25 years of cybersecurity industry experience.

The Cunningham hire comes after Nuspire in May 2021 unveiled its myNuspire security operating system.

myNuspire provides organizations with a self-service, technology-agnostic single pane of glass for security program management, the company noted. It includes threat modeling and security program situational awareness tools that provide organizations with cybersecurity intelligence, insights and recommendations.

In addition to myNuspire, organizations can use the Nuspire Security Program to build, maintain and improve their security program over time. The Nuspire Security Program allows organizations to leverage threat modeling to examine the current state of their security program and receive program recommendations, the company indicated.

Nuspire Adds to Its Executive Team

Along with the Cunningham hire, Nuspire in March 2021 announced the following executive leadership appointments:

  • John Ayers: Nuspire named John Ayers as its chief product officer. In this role, Ayers is responsible for driving Nuspire's technology and security innovation, operations and threat intelligence.
  • Michael Wilson: Nuspire named Michael Wilson as its CTO. Wilson leads Nuspire's technology division.
  • Michelle Bank: Nuspire named Michelle Bank as its EVP and CMO. Bank is responsible for Nuspire's marketing program and growth.

Nuspire delivers threat detection and response solutions across gateways, networks and endpoints. The company provides managed security services, along with managed detection and response (MDR), endpoint detection and response (EDR) and cybersecurity consulting offerings.
