Onapsis Hires Darren Gaeta to Drive ERP Security Partnerships

Onapsis, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) cybersecurity and compliance provider, has appointed Darren Gaeta as its VP of worldwide alliances. Gaeta will oversee Onapsis' strategic alliances, channel activities and MSSP and technology partner engagements, according to a prepared statement.

Gaeta most recently served as VP of worldwide alliances and channels at Anomali, a threat intelligence platform provider. While there, Gaeta developed and scaled the company's security threat intelligence alliance program, Onapsis says. Earlier, Gaeta has held channel leadership roles at Securonix, HP and ArcSight.

What Does the Gaeta Hire Mean for Onapsis?

Gaeta is expected to help Onapsis provide a "one-stop shop" ERP security platform, the company said. That way, Onapsis partners can use the Onapsis Security Platform to capitalize on the rising demand for Oracle and SAP application protection solutions.

The Onapsis Security Platform empowers organizations to monitor ERP and other business-critical applications for security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps across cloud and on-premise deployments. It also automates vulnerability management, insider and outsider threat detection and response and audit and compliance monitoring for SAP and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) systems.

Onapsis Buys Virtual Forge

The Gaeta hire comes after Onapsis last month purchased Virtual Forge, an SAP security solutions provider. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of June 2019.

The Virtual Forge acquisition enables Onapsis to provide organizations with incident response, management, compliance and visibility across SAP applications, the company stated. It also allows Onapsis to help organizations address SAP security vulnerabilities across SAP cloud business applications, system settings, custom code and transports.
