Securonix, a security information and event management (SIEM) provider, has appointed Brett Bowman as its CFO and Dilshan Ratnayake as its chief people officer, according to a prepared statement. The moves surface amid growing MSSP partner momentum for the SIEM provider, anecdotal evidence suggests.

Bowman will lead Securonix's finance and accounting operations, fundraising, investor relations and growth strategy and execution, the company said. He previously served as CFO at technology startups Woot and Main Street Hub.

Ratnayake will manage Securonix's people and talent functions and scale growth and expansion plans for the company's go-to-market and engineering strategies, the company stated. He has more than 25 years of human resources leadership experience and most recently served as head of human resources for the technology division at travel technology company Sabre.

Securonix Drives MSSP, MSP Partner Growth

The Bowman and Ratnayake hires come after Securonix in early September 2020 unveiled Securonix Fuel, an updated version of its global MSSP and managed detection and response (MDR) program. David Wagner, VP of Securonix's MSSP business, said his company will continue to explore ways to increase its partner support resources this year as well.

In the first half of 2020, Securonix’s global MSSP and MDR program contributed 20 percent of the company’s annual contract value (ACV), the business indicated. This program is expected to contribute 40 percent or more of Securonix’s ACV by 2021, the company forecasts.

Furthermore, Securonix has onboarded more than 30 MSSPs over the past year, the company noted. Verizon, a Top 250 MSSP, also has integrated Securonix capabilities into its MDR service.

Securonix offers a cloud SIEM offering and enables MSSPs and MSPs to deliver SIEM-as-a-service (SIEMaaS). Along with SIEM, Securonix provides MSSPs and MSPs with user entity and behavior analytics (UEBA), security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) and other security capabilities.
