Cybersecurity consultancy Adura Cyber Security and Innovix Distribution, an Asian technology reseller, have launched a security operations center (SOC) in Singapore. The SOC is managed in conjunction with South Korean information security provider SK Infosec and helps Singapore organizations address cyber threats, according to Adura.
Furthermore, Adura delivers managed security services to Singapore organizations via SK Infosec's Asian network, the company said. Adura also provides access to more than 200 security professionals and threat monitoring and incident response offerings to Singapore organizations.
Adura offers a Cyber Essentials framework to help organizations develop and deploy cybersecurity strategies. This framework includes the following cybersecurity services:
- Cyber Analysis.
- Cyber Reconnaissance.
- Cyber Response.
Adura also provides a dedicated chief information security officer (CISO) resource. This enables organizations to receive expert cybersecurity insights so they can keep pace with evolving cyberattacks.
Singapore's Temasek, StarHub Launch MSSP
Adura's SOC and managed security services announcements come after Singapore's Temasek and StarHub in September launched MSSP EnSign Infosecurity (EIS).
EIS is a pure-play cybersecurity services company that supports government agencies and enterprises in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. It offers vulnerability assessments, incident response and other cybersecurity services.
SingHealth Data Breach: What MSSPs Need to Know
Cybersecurity companies like Adura and EIS are making moves in Singapore following the SingHealth data breach that exposed approximately 1.5 million patient records.
The SingHealth data breach was discovered in July 2018; however, the cyberattack originally began in August 2017. Meanwhile, Singapore officials cited poor system management, inadequate employee training and network misconfigurations as some of the primary reasons for the data breach.
Security Services Spending Projected to Increase in Singapore
As Singapore organizations explore ways to stop cyberattacks, security services spending is expected to increase across the republic.
Security services spending in Singapore is projected to increase 10.1 percent year over year in 2019, industry analyst Gartner stated. Also, Singapore organizations could spend $814 million on security services this year.
