BlueVoyant, IronNet Promote Managed Security Services for Energy Providers

Share

MSSP BlueVoyant now offers the IronNet Cybersecurity IronDefense network threat analytics platform and IronDome collective defense platform to U.S. small and medium-sized energy providers.

IronDefense provides network behavioral analytics and integrated packet-level threat hunting. It also detects advanced cyber threats often missed by existing commercial cybersecurity solutions, according to IronNet.

IronDome delivers industry-wide threat visibility, IronNet said. It automatically shares cyber anomalies across an industry sector and provides cyber situational awareness and threat insights.

What Does the IronNet Partnership Mean for BlueVoyant?

The IronNet partnership allows BlueVoyant to safeguard U.S. small and medium-sized energy providers against cyber threats. It also could help minimize the risk of cyberattacks and data breaches that affect utility customers.

More than 2,000 local- and state-owned energy providers and 900 nonprofit rural electric cooperatives and public power districts provide services to millions of customers across the United States, BlueVoyant indicated. Furthermore, the global energy sector is a "prime target" for cyberattacks, according to the World Energy Council.

US Energy Providers Can Access BlueVoyant's Cybersecurity Offerings

In addition to IronDefense and IronDome, U.S. energy providers can access the BlueVoyant Managed Detection and Response (MDR) managed security service and WaveLength client portal.

BlueVoyant MDR offers advanced cyber threat detection, remote investigation and incident response capabilities. It also leverages proprietary, open-source and dark web intelligence and automatically blocks and contains cyberattacks.

WaveLength provides insights into an organization's security posture. It helps an organization identify security gaps and offers cybersecurity  recommendations.

BlueVoyant Partners with FiServ, Enters the Financial Services Market

BlueVoyant last year partnered with FiServ, a financial services technology solutions provider, to deliver a managed security platform to banks and credit unions.

The joint BlueVoyant-FiServ managed security platform provides threat detection, remediation, reporting and other cybersecurity capabilities, the companies said. It also offers network and endpoint monitoring, threat intelligence and behavioral analytics, along with insights into emerging threats and multi-layered defenses.
