HelpSystems, an IT management software provider, has purchased MSSP and cyber threat intelligence company PhishLabs for an undisclosed sum.

This is technology M&A deal number 664 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2021.

PhishLabs offers threat intelligence collection, curation and mitigation that allows HelpSystems to safeguard organizations' digital assets against a wide range of cyberattacks, HelpSystems CEO Kate Bolseth. It also bolsters HelpSystems' email security, vulnerability management and data protection solutions.

A Closer Look at PhishLabs

PhishLabs protects organizations against brand, account takeover and data leakage threats, the company noted. It is led by CEO Tony Prince, who has more than two decades of managed security services industry experience.

Organizations can use PhishLabs' digital protection platform to analyze surface web, dark web, social, mobile and email data to source threat intelligence, the company stated. They then can leverage this intelligence to explore ways to mitigate cyberattacks.

In addition, PhishLabs provides solutions to safeguard organizations against business email compromise (BEC), ransomware and other cyber threats. PhishLabs also offers a Partner Ecosystem that allows MSSPs and other strategic and technology partners to leverage its platform.

HelpSystems Purchases Beyond Security

HelpSystems has M&A experience. The company in May 2021 acquired Beyond Security, a vulnerability assessment and management solutions company. HelpSystems has integrated Beyond's vulnerability detection capabilities into its cybersecurity portfolio to help its customers secure their networks, applications, endpoints and cloud environments.

HelpSystems provides cybersecurity and automation software solutions and services. The company offers a partner program that enables MSSPs, MSPs and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to integrate its solutions and services into their portfolios.
