Organizations now can use the Honeywell Forge Cybersecurity+ | Cyber Insights solution to improve the availability, reliability and safety of their industrial control systems (ICS) and operations, according to the company.

Michael Ruiz, vice president and general manager of Honeywell OT Cybersecurity Innovation, commented on the release:

"Cyber Insights is a tool designed to provide customers with detection and insights so that cybersecurity leaders can better understand and monitor their then current security profile, while also being able to detect and mitigate the latest threats."

What Honeywell Forge Cybersecurity+ | Cyber Insights Offers

Cyber Insights helps organizations defend against cyber threats across their OT environments, Honeywell stated. The solution lets an organization leverage information from multiple OT data sources to generate insights into its cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats. As such, they can utilize Cyber Insights to manage their compliance strategy and protect against cyber risks.

Cyber Insights offers a site-level view of a facility's cybersecurity posture, Honeywell indicated. It also is pre-configured for OT use, with customization options available to address needs across various industrial environments. At the same time, Cyber Insights is vendor agnostic and can be deployed on Honeywell control systems and many others.

Cyber Insights is backed by Honeywell Cyber Care services, the company stated. This helps organizations fine-tune and optimize the solution as needed for any system.

A Closer Look at Honeywell's Cybersecurity Products and Services

Along with Cyber Insights, Honeywell provides the Honeywell Forge Cybersecurity Suite that helps organizations track and score their cyber risks, the company said. It also offers a secure media exchange (SMX) USB device and removable media OT cybersecurity solution and network-based threat detection.

Meanwhile, Honeywell employs OT cybersecurity consultants that support organizations throughout the cybersecurity life, the company noted.

These consultants offer support across four areas:

  • Assessment involves performing OT penetration testing and other evaluations to analyze an organization's cybersecurity posture.
  • Remediation consists of OT security program development, cybersecurity training and deployment and implementation of OT network and server infrastructure and network and endpoint security solutions.
  • Management includes onsite, remote and managed services
  • Response encompasses disaster recovery and incident response planning, incident support and troubleshooting and threat monitoring and incident response.

Honeywell reported $8.9 billion in sales in the first quarter of 2023, which represented a 6% year-over-year increase. The company maintains a partner network and has partnerships in place with MSSPs, MSPs and other technology providers.
