Today’s MSSP Alert Market News:

1. Security Partnership Combines MDR, XDR: At-Bay, a cybersecurity and cyber insurance provider, is partnering with CrowdStrike to help small-to-mid-sized businesses (SMBs) unlock access to the security capabilities they need to boost their cyber resilience and reduce risk. The new cybersecurity solution — At-Bay Stance Managed Detection and Response (MDR) — is built on CrowdStrike’s AI-native Falcon XDR platform to help SMBs close the cybersecurity skills gap. At-Bay Stance MDR deploys rapidly to deliver immediate time-to-value, protecting endpoints through powerful AI, integrated threat intelligence, and 24/7 support, the company said.

2. MSP Research Released: N-able has launched its MSP Horizons Report in partnership with Canalys, a channel analyst firm. The report delves into some of the biggest disrupting trends for 2024 and beyond, with actionable insights for MSPs and the future of their own businesses. According to the study, MSPs are on a solid growth trajectory, with 97% of those surveyed citing managed services revenue growth this year, with more than 335,000 global IT channel partners selling those services at $419 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2023.

3. Ransomware Protection: Veeam Software, a data protection and ransomware recovery specialist, has debuted its Veeam Cyber Secure Program, which combines Veeam’s technology with a team of experts to help enterprises prepare for, protect and recover from ransomware. The new program offers pre-incident support, including architecture planning, implementation assistance and quarterly security assessments, the company said.

4. Spear-Phishing Advancement: Vade, a specialist in AI-powered threat detection and response, has delivered a new method that improves the confidence of its spear-phishing detection engine. The enhancement, designed to combat advanced threats including those produced by generative AI, leverages threat samples created by artificial technology and human sources, the company said.

5. Application Security Launch: OX Security, an application security (AppSec) company, has released the next iteration of its solution featuring an active ASPM platform. Incorporating active analysis in an application security posture management (ASPM) solution marks a critical step forward for AppSec by delivering a proactive and converged solution that moves beyond the limitations of existing solutions on the market, the company said.

6. Threat Hunting Release: VikingCloud, a cybersecurity and compliance company, has unveiled THOR AI (Threat Hunting and Orchestrated Response), a generative AI-powered cybersecurity chatbot. The new complimentary cyber defense tool is designed to assist companies of all sizes find more vulnerabilities faster and before they become disruptive threats to their business, the company said.

7. Zero Trust Delivered: BackBox, a specialist in security-centric automation for network teams, has introduced Zero Trust Network Operations (ZTNO). The offering delivers six actionable pillars to automate cybersecurity considerations at the network layer for NetOps teams. To simplify ZTNO for network teams, BackBox has enhanced its Network Automation Platform with improved privileged access manager, network vulnerability management, and search, the company said.

8. Leadership Move: Kaspersky, a cybersecurity and digital privacy company, has named Luciana Lovato as its new channel director for the Americas. Previously, Lovato held the title of Kaspersky’s head of channel for Brazil and has now expanded her role to all of Latin America and North America. In her new role, she will lead Kaspersky’s United Partner Program and expand training opportunities for the company's channel partners.
