2. Cloud Email Security Partnership: Egress, a provider of adaptive cloud email security, is partnering with Netskope, a secure access service edge (SASE) specialist, to enhance behavioral-based threat detection and response and "transforming" the way organizations manage human risk in cloud email. The partnership enables Egress to aggregate Netskope’s User Confidence Index (UCI) as part of its Human Risk Management solution, the companies said.

3. Company Expansion: MSP360, a provider of backup and IT management solutions for managed services providers (MSPs) and IT departments, has expanded into the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region through partnerships with local software resellers. This initiative marks a significant milestone in MSP360's global expansion strategy, aiming to deliver its cloud-based backup and IT management solutions to a broader audience across EMEA, the company said.

7. Annual Threat Report Released: Sophos has issued its annual 2024 Sophos Threat Report, with this year’s report detailing “Cybercrime on Main Street” and the biggest threats facing small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). According to the report, in 2023, nearly 50% of malware detections for SMBs were keyloggers, spyware and stealers, malware that attackers use to steal data and credentials. The Sophos report also analyses initial access brokers (IABs)—criminals who specialize in breaking into computer networks.

8. Hacker Alert: Roku has disclosed a data breach impacting over 15,000 customers after hacked accounts were used to make fraudulent purchases of hardware and streaming subscriptions.
