Netenrich Announces SOC-as-a-Service Offering for MSPs; Leverages IBM QRadar Relationship

Netenrich has launched Intelligent SOC (ISOC), a security operations center-as-a-service (SOCaaS) offering for MSPs, MSSPs, value-added resellers (VARs), and customers.

ISOC leverages Netenrich's Resolution Intelligence architecture to deliver contextual managed threat intelligence, the company said. It offers a variety of features, including:

  • Risk Assessment: Continuously performs security scans across an organization's attack surface
  • Threat Intelligence: Operationalizes human intelligence, artificial intelligence, machine learning, threat models, playbooks, historical data, use-cases and Netenrich's integrated Threat & Attack Surface Intelligence (ASI)
  • Managed Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Featuring IBM QRadarUses the QRadar SIEM solution to help security analysts gain insights into cyber threats

ISOC also helps security analysts detect and analyze threats across an organization's attack surface, including:

  • Domain exposure
  • Brand exposure
  • Vulnerabilities
  • Misconfigurations

In addition, ISOC evaluates and prioritizes any threats it discovers and recommends remediation strategies, Netenrich indicated. This ensures that security analysts can leverage ISOC to remediate threats before they become incidents.

What Does ISOC Mean for Channel Partners?

ISOC enables channel partners to deliver threat context, prioritization and managed response on a pay-as-you-grow basis, Netenrich said. In doing so, ISOC can help channel partners expand their managed security services portfolios and increase their recurring revenues.

Furthermore, ISOC provides channel partners with access to a team of SOC analysts and threat researchers, Netenrich noted. ISOC also can be used in combination with various security analytics tools to help security analysts generate threat insights.

Along with ISOC, Netenrich offers security patching, firmware release management and other channel partner solutions. Netenrich provides these solutions via its channel partner program.

The SOCaaS market certainly is lucrative and growing quickly -- especially since most MSPs need third-party expertise to round out their cybersecurity portfolios. Still, Netenrich faces a market filled with various SOCaaS options for MSPs. Many of those companies -- including Arctic Wolf, Cysiv, Digital Hands, Expel -- have raised significant venture funding in the past year or so.

Netenrich Business Evolution

Meanwhile, the SOCaaS launch continues Netenrich's business evolution. The company merged with ThreatLandscape in in November 2019. The combined company, under the Netenrich banner, said it would offer outsourced IT services and cybersecurity capabilities to midmarket channel partners, IT service providers and businesses.

Netenrich at one time competed against the former Continuum (now owned by ConnectWise) at the lower end of the outsourced NOC (network operations center) market for MSPs in the SMB sector. The company has spent recent years years expanding beyond outsourced NOC services to offer midmarket cloud, IoT and business automation services.

The strategic shift has paid major dividends to Netenrich and its partners. The company as of 2019 supported more than 6,000 end-clients and 100+ channel partners in North America and rest of the world, Netenrich said at the time.
