Japanese telecommunications company NTT Communications has unveiled Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) Protection Services (DPS) Max, a cybersecurity solution that offers cyberattack detection and auto-mitigation capabilities.DPS Max enables NTT's Global IP Network customers to identify cyberattacks and automatically initiate mitigations based on customer-defined thresholds, according to the company. It automatically stops mitigation after a cyberattack ends and returns customer traffic to its normal, pre-attack routing.Furthermore, DPS Max subscribers have access to NTT's Network Security Team, the company stated. They also can use NTT's DPS Portal to review past cyberattack mitigation reports and request configuration changes.DPS Control: Offers an entry-level tier of service intended for organizations that do not require full DDoS mitigation assistance. DPS Core: Provides an advanced tier of service for organizations that require full DDoS mitigation support. DPS Detect: Delivers cyberattack detection capabilities and customer-initiated mitigations from the DPS Portal. Global IP Network customers can select their DPS tier of support based on their cybersecurity strategies and initiatives, NTT noted. That way, they can minimize the risk of DDoS attacks that otherwise damage network infrastructure and degrade website or system performance.
