Risk management and mitigation to reduce exposure for financial investment, projects, engineering, businesses. Concept with manager’s hand turning knob to low level. Reduction strategy.

Outpost24's new CORE unified exposure management solution provides visibility and insights into an organization's IT asset inventory and threat exposure across its attack surface, according to the company.

CORE is now available to Outpost24's partners and customers.

What Outpost24 CORE Offers

Key features of CORE include:

  • Unified asset inventory
  • Vulnerability and threat exposure data
  • Threat intelligence
  • Business impact analysis and logic mapping
  • External attack surface management (EASM)

CORE also offers threat exposure management capabilities to give organizations insights that they can use to minimize their threat exposure and prioritize and respond to critical security risks, Outpost24 indicated.

How Outpost24 CORE Works

CORE combines vulnerability and threat intelligence data from different assessment tools with risk grading, Outpost24 said. The solution provides insights into an organization's exposed assets and infrastructure, application and user risks. In doing so, CORE helps organizations understand, monitor and report on their risk mitigation activities.

Furthermore, organizations can use CORE to group their IT assets and drill down on how risks are controlled and mitigated across different technologies and business units, Outpost24 noted. This helps organizations make informed security resource and investment decisions.

Outpost24 Chief Strategy Officer Brendan Hogan explained how CORE connects cybersecurity with business outcomes:

"We've developed Outpost24 CORE to provide unified asset inventory and exposure insights so that CISOs and executive leaders can be confident they are deploying security resources in the best possible way to protect their organization from the biggest risks."

Outpost24 Acquires EASM Provider

The CORE launch comes after Outpost24 in June 2023 purchased Sweepatic for an undisclosed sum. Together, Outpost24 and Sweepatic plan to provide organizations with "the most comprehensive view of their internal and external attack surface to identify unknown assets and prioritize risk mitigation," the companies said.

Outpost24 offers a cloud platform that unifies asset inventory, automates security assessments and quantifies risk in business context, according to the business. As such, Outpost24 helps organizations identify and address risks across their IT infrastructure.

Outpost24 provides a partner program that allows MSSPs and technology resellers to help their customers "identify, manage and reduce security risk at scale," the company stated.
