PC Matic Unveils Ransomware, RDP Threat Protection Solutions for MSPs

PC Matic, an antivirus software provider, has added Ransomware Lifeline and RDP Lifeline cyber threat protection solutions to its MSP-focused partner portfolio, according to a prepared statement.

Ransomware Lifeline provides endpoint detection and response (EDR) and reporting capabilities, PC Matic said. It allows MSPs to use a cloud-based console to deploy PC Matic's default-deny global whitelist software to guard against network attacks.

RDP Lifeline enables MSPs to use a cloud-based console to secure and monitor remote desktop protocol (RDP) ports within networks, PC Matic stated. It also prevents unauthorized devices from accessing networks.

Ransomware Lifeline and RDP Lifeline and now available as standalone offerings that work in combination with existing cybersecurity solutions deployed on MSP and customer networks.

How Does PC Matic Partner with MSPs?

Along with Ransomware Lifeline and RDP Lifeline, PC Matic provides an MSP Endpoint Suite that offers a variety of cybersecurity capabilities, including:

  • Device Authentication: Identifies any device that attempts to log in to the PC Matic MSP management console and automatically blocks unauthorized devices.
  • Patch Management: Delivers automatic third-party patching for 30 commonly vulnerable applications.
  • Remote Management: Offers a file manager, remote reboot and shutdown commands and other remote management tools.
  • Whitelisting: Provides millions of known good file hashes and trusted digital signatures.

PC Matic also offers a partner program for MSPs. The program provides MSPs with access to PC Matic's cloud-based management console, tier-based pricing and various cybersecurity tools and resources.
