PeriCertum, a cybersecurity consultant and solutions provider, and cyber risk valuation firm Arx Nimbus have launched the Thrivaca Risk Profile Platform.
The Risk Profile Platform analyzes an organization's cybersecurity strategy and provides a financial risk profile, according to a prepared statement. It is built on Arx Nimbus' Thrivaca analytics platform, which enables organizations to model and evaluate the effects of cyber threats and security vulnerabilities.
Thrivaca is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that uses a mathematical model to profile the impact of cyber threats and security vulnerabilities on an organization's operations, Arx Nimbus said. By doing so, Thrivaca helps organizations gauge the financial impact of outcomes based on different security decisions.
In addition, Thrivaca provides an attack probability and monetary impact forecast, according to Arx Nimbus. It helps organizations determine where to invest to reduce cyber risk and comply with regulatory mandates.
Thrivaca also offers "what-if" analyses of budgetary and cyber investment options, Arx Nimbus noted. This ensures that organizations can obtain insights into various cyber threats and security vulnerabilities and update their cybersecurity strategies accordingly.
Introducing Thrivaca 3.0
Arx Nimbus in June released Thrivaca 3.0, which adheres to regulatory requirements from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Thrivaca 3.0 provides organizations with financial valuations of their aggregate risk and the financial risk associated with security vulnerabilities, Arx Nimbus stated. It also includes automated scanning, trend line analysis and backtesting of risk dynamics against cyber threat patterns.
